Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and Sabrina Carpenter shine at the MTV VMAs, Ozzy Osbourne tribute featured
The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) showcased unforgettable performances and star power, with Lady Gaga leading the night with four wins, including Artist of the Year. Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter followed closely with three awards each. It was a night dominated by female artists, with men only taking home awards for collaborations, such as Bruno Mars’ joint project with Lady Gaga and Blackpink’s Rose. Mariah Carey made history, winning her first-ever VMA award and a second one for the prestigious Video Vanguard honor. In addition, the VMAs paid tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July 2025. Yungblud and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry delivered a performance of Black Sabbath classics, introduced by Jack Osbourne and his daughters. The event was a celebration of women in music and a heartfelt homage to a rock legend, marking the 2025 VMAs as a memorable one.
