Oasis Pays Tribute to Fans at ‘Gallagher Hill’ During Manchester Concert

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher dedicated a performance of the song ‘Bring It On Down’ to the ticketless fans gathered on a grassy mound known as ‘Gallagher Hill’ during the band’s Manchester concert. The area, located at Heaton Park, had been fenced off by the Manchester City Council to prevent people from watching the concert from there, citing concerns for livestock and recently planted trees. Despite the warning, hundreds of fans still gathered at the spot. Gallagher’s tribute followed a similar incident at a Coldplay concert, referencing a scandal where a couple was caught on camera at an intimate moment. While the concert went smoothly, Greater Manchester Police reported that 14 people were arrested for various offenses, including fraud and assault. This event marks the penultimate Oasis concert in Manchester before the band heads to London for a performance at Wembley Stadium as part of their international reunion tour.
