Oasis Fans Required to Enter Ballot for Front Area at Heaton Park Concerts

Fans of Oasis have voiced their frustration over a ballot system introduced for the front-standing area of the band’s upcoming homecoming concerts at Heaton Park in Manchester. Ticketmaster informed attendees via email that, following advice from a safety advisory group, the all-standing shows would be divided into general admission and front-standing zones. Fans must opt in to the ballot by noon to be considered for the limited front-standing spots. Entire ticket orders, not individual tickets, will be subject to the random allocation if demand exceeds supply. This move has caused dissatisfaction on social media, especially given the tour starts in less than a month. VIP ticket holders have also raised concerns, uncertain whether their tickets guarantee a place in the front section. Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher responded to accusations that the reunion is financially motivated, saying money is far from the main reason. Former drummer Zak Starkey expressed disappointment over not being included in the lineup, which has yet to be fully revealed. The tour, Oasis’ first since their 2009 split, is expected to have a massive economic impact, with fans projected to spend over £1 billion across all shows, surpassing even Taylor Swift’s recent Eras tour figures.
