Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announces 2026 inductees, including Oasis, Wu-Tang Clan, and Phil Collins

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced its 2026 class of inductees, featuring a broad mix of influential musicians across genres and eras. Among the headline names are Britpop legends Oasis, the pioneering American hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan, and singer-songwriter Phil Collins, who will be recognized for his solo career 16 years after his induction with Genesis. Other inductees include heavy metal icons Iron Maiden, soulful performers Luther Vandross and Sade, punk rock figure Billy Idol, and the post-punk band Joy Division, which later evolved into New Order.

In the ‘Early Influence’ category, the foundation celebrates artists whose work shaped the foundations of modern music, such as Cuban singer Celia Cruz, Nigerian afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, groundbreaking rappers Queen Latifah and MC Lyte, and country-rock innovator Gram Parsons. Additionally, songwriter Linda Creed and producers Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin have been honoured under the ‘Musical Excellence’ category for their substantial contributions to the industry.

American television legend Ed Sullivan will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award, recognizing nonperforming figures who profoundly influenced the growth of rock and roll. To qualify for induction, artists must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to nomination. The official induction ceremony will take place on November 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with the event scheduled to air in December on ABC and Disney+.
