Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Requests Pardon from Donald Trump Amid Legal Troubles

Rapper and entrepreneur Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has reportedly sought a pardon from former President Donald Trump as he faces up to 20 years in prison following his conviction on prostitution-related charges. While Trump has a history of granting pardons, including to individuals involved in the Capitol riots of 2021, he has not yet made a decision regarding Combs’ request. The rapper was recently denied bail ahead of his sentencing in October, after being convicted of two counts of transportation for prostitution. He was, however, cleared of more serious charges such as racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, which carried potential life sentences. Trump, during an interview, confirmed that he had been approached by Combs’ legal team but cast doubt on the likelihood of a pardon, citing Combs’ hostility toward him during the 2016 presidential campaign. Combs, who co-founded Bad Boy Records and was instrumental in the career of the late Notorious B.I.G., has also been dealing with civil lawsuits in addition to his criminal conviction.
