Sigrid Talks About Her Journey from Shy Teen to Confident Popstar

Norwegian popstar Sigrid has revealed how her music career evolved from being a shy introvert to becoming a confident performer. Despite performing on some of the world’s biggest festival stages, Sigrid describes herself as an introvert who struggled with the idea of being on stage early in her career. As a child, she was extremely shy and even had emotional reactions during group performances at school. However, she found comfort in playing the piano, which she describes as an ‘introvert instrument,’ allowing her to express herself in a safe space. Eventually, her passion for music led her to take control of her career, and by her twenties, she was performing at major festivals and earning accolades. Now, with her upcoming album ‘There’s Always More That I Could Say,’ Sigrid has shifted her creative process, focusing on fun and a more organic approach to songwriting. The album features energetic tracks with deep, introspective lyrics. For Sigrid, making music is about balance—being true to her emotions while embracing her evolving artistic identity. She says she has never enjoyed recording as much as she does now, indicating a more relaxed and fulfilling approach to her craft.
