Young Singer Gains Global Fame with Elvis-Inspired Music and Northern Soul

Elliot James Reay, a 23-year-old singer from Bury, Greater Manchester, has become a global sensation through social media with music inspired by the Elvis Presley era. Reay recently released a Northern Soul track titled ‘Who Knew Dancing Was A Sin’, which was inspired by his partner’s parents and their love for the genre. His musical journey has taken him around the world, including performances across Southeast Asia in countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia, where thousands gathered to watch him perform in public spaces like shopping malls. He also visited Graceland in Memphis after receiving an award, calling it a ‘humbling’ and eye-opening experience.

Reay attributes part of his appeal to the popularity of retro and karaoke culture in Asia, especially music from the 1960s to the 1990s. While he’s now back in England, he’s preparing for more shows across the UK in July and planning future international gigs. He is currently working on his first album and has expressed a strong desire to meet fans who supported his rise. Outside of music, Reay enjoys playing snooker to relax. His focus remains on continuing to share his love for retro music with a growing global audience.
