Super Furry Animals Announce First Tour in Over Ten Years

The Welsh rock band Super Furry Animals have announced they will embark on their first tour in over a decade, starting in May 2024. This tour will include six dates across major cities, including Dublin, Glasgow, Llandudno, Cardiff, Manchester, and a final performance in London. The band, which formed in the early 1990s, last performed together in December 2016. Alongside the tour, Super Furry Animals will release a 20th-anniversary edition of their 2005 album, *Love Kraft*, and a collection of previously unreleased music, timed to coincide with the ticket sales launch on October 3. The band’s lineup includes Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Daf Ieuan, Guto Pryce, and frontman Gruff Rhys. Over the years, the group has been known for their quirky promotional stunts, such as performing in a tank and wearing giant inflatable bears or Yeti costumes. The band achieved widespread fame in 1996 with their album *Fuzzy Logic* and continued their success throughout the 2000s with albums like *Rings Around The World*. However, despite brief reunion performances in the mid-2010s, there has been no new music since 2016’s *Bing Bong*. Gruff Rhys has remained active with solo projects, while the rest of the band has been performing as Das Koolies.
