The Wiggles respond after members appear in video linked to drug-themed song

Australian children’s music group The Wiggles have issued a statement after two of their members appeared dancing in a music video for Keli Holiday’s song ‘Ecstasy,’ which includes references to drug use. The clip, filmed at the TikTok Awards, showed Blue Wiggle Anthony Field and his nephew Dominic Field, the Tree of Wisdom character, dancing to the song’s chorus mentioning ecstasy. The Wiggles clarified the video was created without their approval or knowledge and stressed that they do not support or condone drug use in any form. The group has asked for the video to be removed. Keli Holiday, whose real name is Adam Hyde and known as part of the electronic duo Peking Duk, shared the video on TikTok to promote his single. The Wiggles emphasized their performances at the awards were family-friendly and that the video editing was done independently without their awareness. They reaffirmed their dedication to providing safe, positive entertainment for children and express regret for the concerns raised among parents and professionals.
