Walters Music Venue Celebrates 25 Years of Family-Run Performances in Oxford County
The Walters Music Venue, a family-run concert space located just outside Bright in Oxford County, is commemorating its 25th anniversary this summer. Situated in a historic 200-year-old barn, the venue offers a rustic yet elegant setting featuring timber beams, chandeliers, gardens, and a peaceful pond. Founded by the internationally known Walters Family, who are recognized for their energetic performances and tight harmonies, the venue has become a beloved destination for live music over the past quarter-century. Over the years, it has hosted major performers, including Canadian legends like Rita MacNeil and Carroll Baker, as well as American country music star Larry Gatlin. The 2025 season will showcase a variety of tribute acts celebrating artists such as Billy Joel, Elton John, the Doobie Brothers, Garth Brooks, ABBA, and Neil Diamond. The season opens on June 10 with a special performance by The Walters Family, bringing the celebration full circle. The venue continues to serve as a cultural hub in the region, supported by its community of artists, volunteers, and dedicated audiences.
