CMAT Pays Tribute to Catatonia with Energetic ‘Road Rage’ Cover at Green Man Festival 2025
CMAT delivered an energetic and crowd-pleasing performance at the Green Man Festival 2025, where she performed a rowdy cover of Catatonia’s 1998 hit ‘Road Rage’. The Irish singer-songwriter, known for her charismatic stage presence, pulled a huge crowd to the Mountain Stage in Brecon Beacons. Her set also featured tracks like ‘Jamie Oliver Petrol Station’, ‘Take A Sexy Picture Of Me’, and ‘I Wanna Be A Cowboy, Baby!’. During the performance, she honored Catatonia’s frontwoman Cerys Matthews by declaring that ‘CMAT stands for Cerys Matthews’ and draping herself in a Welsh flag. ‘Road Rage’ was a standout hit for Catatonia in the late ’90s, peaking at No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart. CMAT’s festival appearance follows a memorable performance at Glastonbury 2025, where she overcame intense nerves before taking the Pyramid Stage. CMAT continues to draw attention with her upcoming album, ‘Euro-Country’, due for release on August 29, and she has upcoming UK and European festival appearances, along with a headline tour later this year.
