Akamba musician Ndeke Yamuthanga unveils his new six-bedroom home valued at KSh 14 million

Akamba musician Ndeke Yamuthanga has caused a buzz online after showing off a mansion he says cost him KSh 14 million to build. In an interview with media personality Oga Obinna, Ndeke shared details of his six-bedroom home, saying it sits behind three gates and each gate has two guards providing round-the-clock security. The artiste hosted a big housewarming party, inviting fellow celebrities and friends to celebrate the completion of his home. Ndeke explained that although there is no swimming pool yet, he plans to build one in future. He added that his compound has an electric and wall fence, with plenty of greenery — cassava, guavas, and tangerines — sustained by a private borehole that ensures a steady water supply in Ukambani.

Social media users had mixed reactions to the unveiling. Some congratulated Ndeke for his achievement, saying building a home of that scale isn’t cheap in the current economy. Others were sceptical about the claimed KSh 14 million cost, suggesting that the house did not quite look like a multimillion mansion. Some netizens debated what truly qualifies as a mansion, while others appreciated the effort and called for people to celebrate hard work regardless of its result. The story sparked lively online discussions about construction costs, celebrity lifestyles, and perceptions of wealth in Kenya’s entertainment scene.
