Ugandan events firm SEEV Africa to host first major show in Nairobi after Davido’s Kigali success

Ugandan entrepreneur Paul Atwine, founder and executive director of SEEV Africa, is steering his Kigali-based events firm toward the Kenyan market after pulling off major shows in Rwanda, including Davido’s sold-out 2025 concert and the Basketball Africa League after-parties. SEEV Africa, which focuses on socially impactful and creative events, will debut in Nairobi this April with an R&B and old-school themed event dubbed ‘Spin The Block’ at MassHouse. The company aims to use such gatherings not just for entertainment but also to promote networking, job creation, and creative industry growth across Africa.

Atwine’s journey into events began unconventionally — after studying law at Makerere University, he shifted into digital marketing and hospitality, where he built connections with top African artists like Sauti Sol and Nameless. His early work with Talent Africa Group on events like Major Lazer’s concert and the Nyege Nyege Festival helped him develop strategies that turned struggling events into commercial successes. After working in public health and marketing roles, including with Ironman Rwanda, he founded SEEV Africa as an impact-driven creative enterprise using culture to spark change.

For ‘Spin The Block Nairobi’, SEEV Africa has invested over $5,000, with ticket prices ranging from Sh1,550 to Sh4,000. The event will serve as both an entertainment experience and a resource mobilisation platform for their Talent Accelerator Program. The expansion marks part of SEEV Africa’s broader plan to build a touring franchise across major African cities, with Nairobi positioned as a key cultural hub for R&B and lifestyle events.
